Minister Steve Crocker was first elected to the House of Assembly in a 2014 by-election and again in the 2015 general election. While in Opposition, Minister Crocker served as critic for Business and Rural Development, and the Research and Development Corporation. Prior to being elected, Minister Crocker served as Executive Assistant to then-Opposition Leader Dwight Ball and, prior to that, worked as an entrepreneur at his family's business. Minister Crocker resides in Heartís Delight-Islington with his wife Nadine and their two sons, Benjamin and Alexander.
