Central Newfoundland Cottage Draw

Public Draw for 14 Crown Lands Cottage Lots in Central Newfoundland

Fourteen (14) Crown Lands recreational cottage lots in Central Newfoundland are being made available for purchase by Public Draw. Eight (8) lots are available at Puncheon Pond, three (3) at Butts Pond, one (1) at Maccles Lake, one (1) at Paul’s Lake and one (1) at Burnt Berry Pond.

Draw entries will be accepted until 4:15 p.m., Friday, November 30, 2018. The order in which lots will be selected will be determined by the random sorting of entrants’ names at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at the Central Regional Lands Office at 230 Airport Boulevard, Frasier Mall, Gander. Lot selection meeting will be held on January 8, 2019 at Quality Inn and Suites, 100 Trans-Canada Highway, Gander.

Salmonier Line / Placentia Junction Cottage Draw

Public Draw for 76 Crown Lands Cottage Lots

Salmonier and Placentia Junction, Avalon Peninsula

Seventy-six (76) Crown Lands recreational cottage lots on the Avalon Peninsula are being made available for purchase by Public Draw. Seventy-four (74) lots are accessed from the Salmonier Line (Route 90) and two (2) are at Placentia Junction, accessed from the Argentia Access Road (Route 100).

Draw entries will be accepted until 4:15 p.m., Friday, November 30, 2018. The order in which lots will be selected will be determined by the random sorting of entrants’ names at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at the Eastern Regional Lands Office at the Howley Building, 87 Higgin’s Line, St. John’s. Draw entrants will select lots at a meeting to be announced.

Sandy Lake Cottage Lots

A Selection Meeting for thirty-six (36) recreational cottage lots at several sites in western Newfoundland was held on July 18, 2013. Twenty (20) lots were selected in the Public Draw. The following lots on Sandy Lake, accessed from Howley Road, were not selected and became available to the public after the Lot Selection meeting for purchase on a first-come, first served basis:

Lots 9, 11 to 13, 18 to 28, and 31.

Please note that this page is not being continuously updated, so lots that became available on a first come; first served basis may have already been applied for. Copies of legal surveys and site evaluations for the capability of the lots to support on-site septic systems are linked below.

Birchy Lake Cottage Lots

A Selection Meeting for eighty-three (83) recreational cottage lots at two sites on Birchy Lake in western Newfoundland was held on October 30, 2013. Thirty (30) lots were selected in that Public Draw. The following lots were not selected and became available to the public after the Lot Selection meeting for purchase on a first-come, first served basis:

Lots 23 to 30, 32 to 36, 38 to 42, 44 to 48, 51 to 54, 57, 59, 60, 63 to 75, 77 to 81, and 83 to 88.
